Information for Authors

Paper Submission

Contributions are invited on the subjects within the conference scope and also on other relevant areas. All contributions should be of high quality, original and not published elsewhere or underconsideration for publication during the review period.

All papers will be reviewed by members of the International Programme Committee and depending on their level and attributes, selected for oral or poster presentation, and publication in an appropriate medium.

Authors of selected papers will be invited to submit extended versions of their papers for publication as full journal papers, for example in Elsevier's Renewable Energy journal.

The Australian Research Council Excellence for Research in Australia survey in 2010 (ERA2010) rated SEB as a Grade 'A' (top grade) conference. See .. here ..

Full Track Papers

Submissions for the conference must be made as complete papers (there is no abstract submission stage) submitted as PDF documents through the PROSE online submission and review system.

Full papers will be reviewed by the IPC and if accepted and presented, they may be published after the conference in Elsevier's Procedia Energy open access journal, available in ScienceDirect and indexed/abstracted in EI Compendex, Engineering Index and Scopus.

Full Track papers should be detailed academic articles in conventional format. The guide length for full papers is 8 to 10 pages (maximum).

Guidance notes for the preparation of Full Papers is available .. here .. and an MS Word template is available .. here ..

For a paper to be published in the Procedia Energy proceedings
- no changes may be made to the Procedia template and the instructions must be followed exactly
- the maximum length of 10 pages must not be exceeded
- the paper must be presented at the conference
If the above conditions are not adhered to, the paper will not be published in Procedia Energy, but may be included in SEB Research Advances (see below).

Elsevier has now automated the exclusive license transfer (copyright) process. A copyright form will be directly sent to the Authors during production. All copyrights related queries can be sent to oxfordcopyrights@elsevier.com.

Short Track Papers

Short Track papers may be more superficial descriptions, but should still be complete and self-contained. The guide length for Short Track papers is between 1 and 6 pages.

Submissions for the Short Paper Track will be subjected to a less rigorous review than Full Papers and presented as posters or oral presentations, depending on the characteristics of the submission and the reviewers' comments.

Short Track papers will be published as open-access web publications in SEB Research Advances along with the Powerpoint used in the presentation, in the KES Open Access Library (KOALA).

Guidance notes for the preparation of Short Papers is available .. here ..

There is no requirement to complete a copyright form, as papers are published under the KOALA copyight agreement, available for viewing .. here ..
