Conference Registration and Charges

Instructions on how to register for the conference are given in the next section. A list of fees and charges is also provided further down the page.

Registration

To register for the conference please follow this link to the registration page on the KES Membership Portal

- You must be signed in to the KES Portal to register for the conference.

- If you are not already a KES member please sign up for KES membership, which will qualify for the KES member early reduced registration rates, then sign in.

- Please ensure that in addition to signing up for the KES Portal you also register for the conference.

Payment in Cash

We do not normally accept payments in case at the conference desk.

If we do accept a registration payment in cash it must be at the full rate; there are no concessionary places left.

Payment by Credit Card

Payment by credit card is still open. We will send you confirmation by email when we have received and checked your payment, and your registration is complete.

Payment by Bank Transfer

Payment by bank transfer is closed. Please register by credit card

Fees and Charges

Full Registration

Full registration is an inclusive rate comprising:-

  • Attendance at the conference
  • Morning and afternoon tea and coffee each day
  • Lunch each day
  • One ticket for the welcome social event
  • Publication of one paper in the conference proceedings
    (conforming to the published conditions concerning submission, length and deadlines)
  • A delegate pack including a copy of the conference digest
  • KES Silver membership for one year from the date of the conference.

Early Full Registration Fee (ONLY By Early Deadline):
495 Euros : KES Bronze or Non Members
450 Euros : KES Silver Members or WREN Members*
300 Euros : Morocco & Islamic Country university delegates**
The sponsorship we obtained to permit registration from Islamic countries at reduced fees has now been used, and all delegates must register at the full rate.

Full Registration Fee (AFTER Early Deadline): 560 Euros for all registrants

Student Registration

To claim the student you need to send to a letter in English on headed notepaper from your University, signed by your Head of Department confirming that you are a student.

Student registration comprises:-

  • Attendance at the conference
  • Morning and afternoon tea and coffee each day
  • Lunch each day
  • One ticket for the welcome social event
  • Publication of one paper in the conference proceedings
    (conforming to the published conditions concerning submission, length and deadlines)
  • A delegate pack including a copy of the conference digest
  • KES Silver membership for one year from the date of the conference.

Early Student Registration (ONLY By Early Deadline):
350 Euros : KES Bronze or Non Members
295 Euros : KES Silver Members
250 Euros : for Morocco & Islamic Country delegates**

Student Registration (AFTER Early Deadline): 560 Euros : all registrants

** To claim the Morocco and Islamic rate you need to send to a letter in English on headed notepaper from your University, signed by your Head of Department confirming that you are a member of faculty. Only available before the Early Registration deadline and limited numbers available at this rate.

Conference Gala Dinner

Tickets for the Conference Gala Dinner (not included in the registration) need to be booked separately using the MGEF-13 Local Arrangements Website.

Extra Charges

There will be additional charges for the following items:-

  • Conference Banquet Ticket: Purchase separately
  • Publication of each additional paper in the proceedings (one paper included in registration fee):
    195 Euros
  • Additional page charge for Short Track papers longer than the guide length
    50 Euros

NOTE: Full papers longer than 10 pages will not appear in Procedia Energy.

Accompanying Person Registration

An "Accompanying Person" is someone who accompanies a full delegate but takes no part in the conference. An example is the wife or husband of an author. The following conditions apply:-

  • An accompanying person must register with a Full or Student delegate (ie they may not attend the symposium alone).
  • The Accompanying Person registration provides morning and afternoon teas/coffees, and lunch each day.
  • It does not allow entry to any conference sessions or talks, or a published paper, or a set of proceedings.
  • Under no circumstances may authors or co-authors of conference papers register as accompanying persons.

Accompanying Person Registration:
120 Euros

Invited Sessions Chairs Registration

Where an invited session attracts 5 or more paid registrations (excluding the IS chair themself), if all 5 authors plus the IS chair attend the conference and present at the session, the IS chair may claim free registration at the next conference during the subsequent year. For example, a chair who gets 5 paid registrations at the MGEF-2013 conference can claim free registration at the SEB2014 conference.

The registrations must be full or student registrations, not additional papers or free registrations awarded for other reasons.

Authors' Registration

Any paper that does not have at least one author who has registered for the conference and paid by the Authors Registration Deadline will be withdrawn from the proceedings.
